Ruth Blomster

Before entering the healing world of theraputic massage I worked in the corporate world for 30 years.  While working I also attended other higher learning institutions before realizing my heart was really with the healing profession in some way.  Empathy and touch are strong points of need for me, so my final career path started with professional training for massage therapy in 2003 at CenterPoint Massage & Shiatsu Therapy School & Clinic in Minneapolis, MN.  During my training I discovered I had breast cancer and, with a bright outlook, took a year off for surgery and healing.  I recovered my health, am in remission, and now have a stronger love of life, health and awareness of happiness.  I also have great empathy for pain.

I graduated with over 700 hours of classroom and techniques training.  I've had a great clinical experience working with several sports teams, including the Minnesota Gopher football team, the Ohio State women's soccer team and others, and also have had experience massaging a special child with cerebal palsy.  I strive to improve my techniques every day.  I listen to what people tell me they need and inquire as I go through the session, making the time as valuable to the client as well as for myself.
